Dear all,

I would like to thank each one of our CoreTrustSeal community members for all your hard work and dedication to our community this year. Our community relies on this dedication and volunteerism to sustain our organization. I have had the distinct pleasure to serve on the CoreTrustSeal board with great colleagues’ and friends. It has been a rewarding and inspiring time. Unfortunately changes in my work duties and schedule require me to step down as the chair of the board.

The current CoreTrustSeal Board now has vacancies for two additional members. Please consider submitting a member of the Assembly of Reviewers from your organization for consideration in one of these positions. Proposed members will be considered by the existing Board and, if successful, will serve for the remainder of the current Board and be eligible to stand in Board elections in 2024.

During 2024 the CoreTrustSeal will hold elections for new Board members. Members of the Assembly of Reviewers are asked to contact us with expressions of interest for inclusion on the slate of Board members.

Even if you do not wish to propose a candidate for election we would urge you to nominate a member of your team to the Assembly of Reviewers. Reviewers are at the heart of the success and the future of the CoreTrustSeal, providing peer review of applications from candidate repositories. You can find out more about the Community here and support and training for the process here.

Everyone who has been nominated by a certified repository to the Assembly of Reviewers is eligible to stand for election on the CoreTrustSeal Board. Board members attend regular board meetings (currently every 2 weeks), and contribute to reviews, processes, correspondence and other work as needed.

From the entire CoreTrustSeal board and myself, I would like to wish everyone a happy new year.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Crabtree

Chair of the CoreTrustSeal Standards and Certification Board
